I founded mjttnetworkmusic in June 2015 as a radio channel with rare exotica and minimal synth records plus as a parallel music website for my own ambient and experimental records back then. Soon I decided to left the radio channel and concentrate on music creation only. And at this moment (2020), all 140+ full-length albums here were made by me only (i.e. all tracks and graphics, mastering, composing, producing, etc) so this is not a label or a company, this is just one man project. But I assume that in future I'll be able to bring back the radio and accept some other peoples' records, though I'm not interested in that currently.
I started making music in 2009
, my first instrument was a computer with Linux + AMS synthesizer + zynaddsubfx with Ardour DAW, what was the stuff I started with back in 2009, it's MIPHNICHA in the mjttnetworkmusic catalog, experimental ambient/drone. I'm still using Linux for everything as of today (2020).
During the years, I had my own personal full equipped studio with all the real life mixers, synths and recorders (things like roland vs808(?), korg ms20, some other korg synths (I don't remember names), 505/drum machines, akai mpc2000, roland mv 8800, some effects and reverb plates, tapes and vinyls) - I sold everything in 2013 or so, I found out that it was quite nonsense to have all those, a computer is much more flexible and comfortable to work with. After I sold everything I started to use a computer only for music since then.
One may ask why I use so many pseudonyms, answer is easy: various names are just for various music ideas (das = very experimental, swhq = melodic rhythms, mjtt means nothing, 1300p = jungle or dnb, optmay = hitech ambient, etc).
In 2019, though I'm just 27 years old only and still have a lot of energy to continue to create music, I decided to focus all my power on philosophical writings instead. In particular, I created the standaloneblog
for that (still in BETA), a project on which I plan to work for the rest of my life. And though I'm still going to compose some ambient (primary) and beat (secondly) records here from time to time, it'll be much less often now than before. It's time to upgrade.
